![]() Mammillaria magnifica As we move into summer and admire flowering and growth and think we have a great hobby we might still ask the age old question of how wet it's going to be but it seems that in view of the last few summers we also have to ask how hot do we think it will be. We see some plants revel in the heat but others become severely scorched. Summer protection of plants can be a bigger problem than winter protection, so what's the best way? Put as much outside as possible, paint on shading, green mesh, bubble polythene, newspapers over the plants, put the plants under the staging, fans, regular misting with water, taking some glass out of greenhouse? Any comments or further suggestions? I'm sure quite a few people would be interested. — Alasdair Glen
