Newsletter December 2007 - Another Show to go to

The cancellation of the Wilmslow Show was a great disappointment but those who saw the state of the field and the weather at the time would agree that the correct decision was made.

Harold couldn't manage to shake off the call of the Show Bench and again took himself off to the Stoke-on-Trent Festival Show at Hanley Park in September. This is really the Stoke Branch Show. Harold had done well on his previous visits and this year was no exception because he collected eight firsts, ten seconds and seven thirds plus an the award for best exhibit in the Show with for his entry in the class for three cacti of different genera in pots between four and six inches with his Neoporteria nidus, Stenocactus lloydii and Gymnocalycium buenekeri.
